Super useful and fast!
a couple of bugs but best app for wikipedia on iphone
It honestly feels like it was updated only to ~look~ like iOS 7. And the icon is horrible, sorry. That circle around the W makes it ugly and doesnt make any sense, its not like you need to put a freaking circle in every icon now goddammit.
Editing entries in your bookmarks and favorites is really terrible, incomprehensible, senseless, interface impossible. iCloud is supported but even more complicated things. Bookmarks are a failure. Unacceptable for an app to pey.
Although one can select text using this app, the prompt which allows one to copy the selected text to the clipboard disappears instantly, too fast for one to push it.
I have used this for years but am finally looking for alternatives. If I start reading Article A and click a link to Article B, when I return to Article A I am taken to the top of the article more often than not. Its strange that this doesnt happen 100% of the time, but certainly enough to be annoying. 6s+
I love this because of its simple, uncluttered, and readable design. But it does have some issues, the biggest in my opinion that back/forward navigation will lose position in an article and return to the very top quite frequently. I now use the official Wikipedia app due to this.
I have used Wikipedia in the past and its no where near as great as wikipanion. This app shows more info and better ability to save what you read.
Would like 3D Touch like the official app. Otherwise this one is way better.
I finally got my iPhone 6+ today, and this app is no longer usable with my new phone--which is a bummer, because I always liked this app over safari. Looks like Im going back to using safari until this gets fixed.
I started using this App on my first generation iPad, and I think its THE best way to access Wikipedia from an iDevice. Not sure why some people are complaining about it, because it still looks beautiful and works perfectly on an iPhone 5S running OS 8. I think its even better than the official Wikipedia App. Check it out -- and send this guy some money! =)
Ive been using this App since its inception on the iPhone...which is a long time. Its always worked phenomenally well. I upgraded to an iPhone 6 Plus, two months ago, and it still works fantastically. Its, without a doubt, my "go to" app for references. Terrific job. Please keep it up.
So helpful to have Wikipedias whole database on my iPod.
This app forgets this basic, simple fact.
Then it started freaking out - the keyboard would not display when my cursor was in search. Also it would stick in landscape mode. Used to be able to close it and then re open to make it work. Today no go so Ill go to another app.
Fantastic to use and easy to navigate.
Its not working on my iPhone after last update. Some content doesnt load or is delayed. The “bugs issues” are more prominent now than before. Keep the previous version as it was working with no trouble
I recently upgraded to an iPhone 6 and I have to say that this app is quite garbage. Now when I go back to a previous page it doesnt go to the same section I was browsing. Very inconvenient. I just tried searching "The Who" only to find that this band does not exist. Im over it.
