Toms Wikipanion Review

Would be nice to see settings to adjust text and font size to make larger, or have the app look to the iPhone text size settings. Can you format the text to fit the screen width from left to right when using pinch to zoom?

Good App

I highly recommend downloading this App to look up Wikipedia. Its quick, no Ads and is stable.

Great

I use wiktionary a lot via this app. Itll be better if I can tell it to stay in thay interface and not constantly go back to Wikipedia

Perfection!!!

This app is great. Better than the official app, because you can enlarge the font on this app. It formats the articles so that they are visually appealing on my iPhone. And very straightforward & easy to use. Great job!

Some annoyances

I love this because of its simple, uncluttered, and readable design. But it does have some issues, the biggest in my opinion that back/forward navigation will lose position in an article and return to the very top quite frequently.

Programming is 5 years behind

Still no simple sliding animation when swiping forward and backward through pages. Apple introduced this feature in iOS 4 I think it was? Its too hard to navigate by swiping without this simple feature. And why does my review keep getting deleted? Stop censoring me.

Great

I use it everyday its great and fast

Long term support

This app is perhaps the best Wikipedia app. More importantly, it has been maintained and updated for years. Bugs are quickly fixed, compatibility always maintained. Amazing work!

Best

Research app Ive ever used on the iPhone! By far the best wiki app Ive used. And I think Ive seen about all of em.

Please fix this!!

Terrible waste of money and time. Wont download, tried many times in hope of a fix. Loved the prior version, used it many times a day. That version doesnt work on my new iPod touch.

Great

I use it all the time.

Best Wikipedia app Ive ever used

Either on the iPhone or the iPad, for years, this has been one of the best apps for reading articles on Wikipedia for years now. The free version is great! With the unobtrusive UI and no adverts. It deserves to be purchased simply due to the support and timely updates since Wikipanion is without a doubt, the best Wikipedia app for iOS. Been using this app since the iPhone 3G was launched to my 6S Plus even now. Including the initial iPad version of this app. Five

Best Wikipedia App Out There

Ive been using this app for a few years and it is rock solid.

Doesnt Remember Location of a Clicked Link

After upgrading my iPhone 5s to iOS 9.2, when I click a link in an article and then return to the original article, it always goes back to the top of the original article, rather than remembering where I was when I clicked the link in the original article

Needs force touch + swipe animation

Let me force touch to preview a link, and also implement back navigation with animations instead of the jarring transition now (compare edge-swiping back in safari vs this app). Also, it only remembers position when I go back about half the time. Fix that please. With that, I would give it 5 stars!

Had to quit using

Have been using since 2010, but recently had to switch to a different app. Unbearable lag time when scrolling articles on my 6s. Id start scrolling and itd take the app about half a second to respond.

Really solid

No complaints. Good UI and easy to navigate. Much cleaner than using Wikipedia on the web.

Cannot search for anything

All of a sudden for weeks now I cannot search for anything bc app says that I dont have an Internet connection. I deleted the app then reinstalled. Same problem persists. HOW DO I FIX? I use this app regularly. Please help.

Quality Wiki reader

Between the clean and easy interface design and the ability to read other wiki-sites, this is my go-to app for Wikipedia browsing. Highly recommended!

The Best!

By far the best Wikipedia app in terms of design and layout. The official is still garbage, even after all the updates trying to make it look nice. However, this app is what you want if you actually want to read articles and especially want you want if the article has a bunch of tables (like a discography). The official Wikipedia app has every table closed automatically and its a slight, but persistent, annoyance. WikiPanion forever!
