App gets stuck in landscape out of nowhere on Iphone 5. Works fine on Ipad Air. Usually happens after a search. Super-irritating, please address. Update: after the most recent update, now its even worse. Now its LOCKED in landscape no matter what, whereas before it would only happen at random or when I went into the table of contents for a particular page. This has been going on too long, Im giving up and finding another Wikipedia app.

I like this, best I’ve used. Only real complaint is that the icon is not too visible.

I had so many articles saved and organized in here. And when I got my new phone the backup saved nothing.

But what is that white bar on the top in landscape mode? And its still there after so many updates?

When using the back button or left swipe to go back, often skips to the top of the article or a totally different place. Irritating.

Without the Google search feature this app is nearly useless to me. I want Google to search for me but Wikipanion to open the wiki page. Thats it. The default search is incredibly stunted. Example: If I put in the last names of two boxers who fought each other, the default search is probably not going to point to that bout. I end up having to go to my browser and searching first to find the exact name of the entry.

my old review of this app was: "one of the only apps that does what it says its gonna do." Im changing it to: "its become garbage, theyve completely ripped out all the good assets of this app, its simply trash now and the developer should be ashamed of his work. no update since Feb? Jesus"

Been using this one for a couple of years now. The official Wikipedia app could never catch up to this quality app.

Cant access font slider; using iphone 5s. Wikipanion. No matter what I do. Still not supported?

As others have mentioned, there seem to be problems with the app that have accumulated over the last several updates. For months now searches will return results, but individual pages take ages to load - quite the accomplishment given that most Wiki pages are nothing but line after line of text. (Even manually closing the app and reopening it doesnt help.) After literally being unable to open a single page for 5 minutes, Im done with this app.

New icon still abysmal. Go back to the old classy icon.

Best Wikipedia app I have found. I did use wikiamo but it quit working after trying several others this is the one Im going to keep

FWIW, Wikipedia app is a Wikipanion wannabe. Wikipanion provides fast, straightforward access. Nothing in the way, no stems no seeds that you dont need. I cant imagine what the paid version would do for *me* so Im sticking with the freebie. But each time I for the heckuvit look at the Wikipedia app again, I remain convinced Wikipanion is the one.

The app used to work great, but it has since been really slow to open articles.

However, it loads so slowly now that Ive been using Google instead.

The app is extremely slow to open linked articles. The + version simply will not. Please -FIX THIS!

This once was a phenomenal app. They seem to not have figured out how to make the swipe back gesture work properly. Sometimes it goes back to where you left off and more often it goes back to the start of the last page. Incredibly annoying.

App is okay, but that it seems unable to open itself, courtesy of a mobile browser link, is a VERY significant deficit. I absolutely despise visiting the Wikipedia Website, instead of viewing the information through my local iPhone app! ALWAYS first launch the app!

If you make a universal app at $3 I will buy full version to show support even though I dont need the features of the plus One of the best apps in the App Store, and probably the oldest I have been using since I got my first iPad. Great design, thanks for making it free!

The latest version crashes on my iPhone 4S. Hope it gets fixed soon.
